Shaving, Blisters and Getting Hustled

As y'all know I packed up my 2bd 2ba apartment in 1.5 weeks and just left so I didn't really pay attention to how hairy my body was getting. Yesterday I wanted to wear shorts. But I didn't pack a razor and was in a semi rush to get out of the house so I did what I could with what I have.

This is what I had... To shave my legs and pits... At the end of the whole process I was very proud! Listen, yesterday taught me I can make anything work in a pinch. I would post a before and after pic but the before picture didn't capture the true length of hair, so I will leave it to your imagination!
After a morning full of prepping to set out for the day, I headed off to Attikos, a cute little restaurant just south of the Acropolis with a perfect view! But then tragedy struck 20 minutes in to my walk. I wore my Nike Metcons and they ended up giving me 6 blisters! I was in so much pain that I had to slip off the backs of them just so I could make it to the Plaka to pick up some flip flops. The plan was to just get a cheap pair and keep it pushing, but I didn't want to be in anymore pain. I ended up getting some crocs, no not the typical style but instead opted for some slides.
I gave my feet a short break and started my walk again. Well at this point it felt like a hike because I had to climb these stairs and they were a killer! At the top there were a few guys from Zambia selling bracelets (I was a little out of it after the stairs so I didn't realize that was what they were doing) and hustled me in to getting one but it was cute so whatever!
I finally made it to Attikos and all of the events prior were definitely worth it. The view was everything and the picture at the top does not even do the view justice! I'll post them on the @SheIsHighKey Instagram eventually. I had a greek salad that hit the spot after that long walk and if you like greek salads, you know the base of the salad is not lettuce, it's tomatoes. I learned my lesson with tomatoes my first day out when I broke out in hives! I told the server what happed and they switches out the tomatoes for lettuce, I was so thankful. I finished the meal with this baklava and ice cream! Heaven! Ugh thank goodness I walked  a hour and 15 minutes to get there because the way I am eating my way through Athens is crazy!
After that I decided to get lost and just wander around for a few hours. I'm so glad I did, it felt good to just explore with no agenda. I use to just drive around Austin seeing new parts of town and I would love it. Now instead of driving, I walk, win win!
